Viva la Margarita 5K Atlanta 2015

Join us April 25, 2015 when the Viva La Margarita Race series will be making a splash in beautiful Brook Run Park! Enjoy the scenic 3.1 course filled with fun surprises, then reward yourself with a refreshing drink of margarita. You've earned the right to stay twisted!

Race Day: Arrive early to park and begin race at exactly 10:00 AM. Rest rooms available at location. Water station will be located throughout the course. Prizes for most twisted! Will you be donned in mariachi get-up? Race medals for all finishers

Waves: Waves may be assigned. Waves are assigned by pace as indicated at registration. Your wave, if assigned will be given to you at package pick up.

Race Route - Note that race route is subject to change. The safety of our runners is of primary concern. Not only do we want our runners to have a fun run, we also want everyone to stay safe throughout. In the event of a route change, runners will be notified before day of race.

Pavilion area start / finish - runners stay to LEFT side of roadway throughout - left down S. Georgia Way to turnaround, back to left on Dekalb to turn-around, back to left on S. Georgia, right onto concrete trail to right onto Barclay to turn-around, return to Pavilion Road finish. Majority of route is within park - route enters concrete trail at 1.7 miles.

Post Race Celebration: Join your fellow runners, walkers, and the twisted for the fiesta. Dance to pulsating music as you enjoy your refreshing post-race margarita. Here, we will crown the most twisted (best original costume), or what we call the "Snazzy Iguana". Strut your stuff and show us why you should take home our top-shelf tequila!

Awards Ceremony: The awards ceremony is tentatively scheduled for 11:00AM.

Only the top 3 finishers (male and female) will be announced at the Post Race Event.

Race awards will be given to the top finishers in each age group. Age groups are 14 and under, 15-19, 20-24 and every 5 years through 70+. All awards will be mailed within 4-6 weeks.
