The Farragut Primary School PTO is hosting its first 5K Dolphin Dash Fundraiser. The event will take place on Saturday, April 25, 2026 at the Primary School. We will have kids dashes (ages 3-8 years old) and the 5K run/walk with prizes for place finishers. The Dolphin Dash is planned around family, fun, fitness and community!
Finley’s Fun Run is a separate but related event to the Dolphin Dash 5K and will take place on Thursday, April 23, during your student’s Encore time.
Because this event is held during the school day, every FPS student will have the opportunity to participate. Children will run laps outdoors in the grassy area on campus, or inside the gym if weather does not cooperate. Our fantastic FPS music teachers will be DJing the event, and each participant will receive a healthy snack and a ribbon upon completing their run.
Our goal is to come together as a community by supporting our school and children so that they may have a better education. All proceeds will be used by FPS PTO to fund additional playground equipment designed specifically for students with limited mobility or that require aid to access the existing playground equipment. These students will be able to enjoy expanded independent play areas alongside their peers. Our hope is to raise $20,000 to purchase items that will be available for student use during the 2026-27 school year and beyond.

FAQs
- Who can participate in the 5K?
- The Dolphin Dash is open to anyone! You don't have to have a student that attends FPS or any Farragut school to participate. It is a 3.1 mile route, so please keep that in mind if you are signing up children. Participants are welcome to run, jog or walk!
- Where is bib/packet pick up?
- Wednesday, 4/22 and Thursday, 4/23 between 4:30-6:30pm at the Farragut Primary School (inside the cafeteria). 5K participants will receive their bib, event shirt, and swag! Kids Dash participants will receive their event shirt and swag!
- If my child wants to run in the Kids Dash and the 5K, can they?
- Absolutely! The Kids Dashes will begin at 8:00am - parents/guardians can then bring the to the 5K starting line (please do so by 8:15am). Kids Dashes are for children ages 3-8 years old.
- How will the Kids Dashes work? Will they all run together?
- Children will arrive and be grouped by age and will have a marked start/finish line. Kids 3-4, 5-6 and 7-8 will run in the appropriate age group. 3-4 year olds will run a 50 yard dash, 5-6 and 7-8 year olds will run 100 yard dashes. Suggested arrival time is no later than 7:50am.
- Do parents have to register for the Kids Dashes too?
- Parents do not have to register for the Kids Dashes in order for their child to participate. The Kids Dashes will be a short event held prior to the 5K start. Parents are encouraged to cheer their child on along the dash lanes!

- Who gets a shirt? Will there be some available for purchase?
- Participants who register prior to March 15th are guaranteed a shirt. Additional shirts are available for purchase at time of registration. We will also have shirts available on race day, however we cannot guarantee sizes.
