Row'n the River Kayaking Race + Fun Float

Grab your friends and join us for a day on Roaring River in Gainesboro, Tennessee!

Test your kayaking skill by competing in the 6 mile competitive race or enjoy a leisurely float*** down the river. 

Start the race upstream and end at Roaring River Park where we'll have an awards ceremony and a free lunch.

Race participants will receive a unisex short sleeve tshirt.

A Coast Guard approved PFD must be worn or accessible at all times during the race.

**Note: You will need to supply your own kayak for this race. If you do not have a kayak, we have teamed up with some local outfitters to provide you a discounted daily rental for the event. Email director@gainesborochamber.org for more details.

***You will need to have the ability to paddle some as the current at the end of the route is not strong.

EVENT CANCELLATION
The race may be rescheduled if conditions are deemed too hazardous by race officials (no refunds on entries).

SCHEDULE

Pre-race check in on May 2nd at Roaring River Park from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm central time.

Race morning, May 3rd late check in at 6:30 am to 7:30 am

Competitive Race starts 8:00 am

The Fun Float will begin at approximately 9:00 am.

Lunch is included in your registration at Roaring River Park.

Awards will follow (Category based on Age and Gender: Top 3 Winners in each will be awarded)
