Our Final Race of the year will be a Christmas festival in beautiful downtown Harriman at the Riverfront Park! Come join us for "Elf" on a huge outdoor movie screen following the race! See you there!
Welcome to the RoShamBo 5K Race Series, where you could win a Carnival Cruise and raise money for JDRF! Help our local Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation find a cure for type 1 Diabetes by running in (4) 5K events this year! With your entry participants will receive an excellent package including a performance polyblend workout shirt valued at $34.99, multiple gifts and coupons to local retailers.
Our races are not just your run of mill 5K style races. They are professionally ran events and conducted in series form (multiple races) to encourage each participant to compete in more than just one event. There are substantial rewards to be earned among ALL LEVELS of competitors. Rewards range from gift cards, to world class travel and vacations. Our winners may not be the fastest participants in each group. If a runner is the fastest he/she will win something, however the overall goal is to improve as an athlete and be in good overall physical health. We have devised a system that awards points to runners based on a variety of factors including the number of events completed, overall finish position, improvement from race to race, along with other factors to help level the field when competing. These incentives make this a competitive event for the 18 year old finishing a 5k in under 18 minutes, the 30 year old finishing in 26 minutes, and the 40 year old which has just started running and finishing in 35 minutes.
The Athena & Clydesdale Division race is for females over 215 Lbs and males over 250 Lbs. You must meet the weight qualification for Race #1 to compete in this division. You will run with everyone else just like normal, but this event will allow you to be timed against other people in the same weight class rather than your age group. You will be able to compete in this division in every event throughout the season regardless of weight as long as you meet the weight requirement for your first race.
Come Run With Us!!! You won't regret it, and you will never forget it!!!
