Get ready to jingle all the way! Grab your favorite festive outfit, gather your family and friends, and join The Goose Chase for an evening of Christmas lights, cheerful strides, and holiday fun.
Our timed 5K takes you through King Commons Park and Founder’s Park, with Downtown Johnson City’s beautiful Christmas trees lighting the way. Run for a personal best or walk and soak up the sparkle—we hope Jingle becomes a holiday tradition for you and yours!
🔔 Choose Your Way to Jingle!
Jingle 5K Run/Walk — 7:00 p.m.
Lace up for 3.1 miles of festive fun! Runners and walkers are welcome, with overall and age-group awards available.
Jingle Bell Dash — 6:40 p.m.
A merry little race for our youngest jinglers! Kids can enjoy their own holiday dash, with awards for the top three boys and girls ages 6–9.
Jingle Virtual 5K — Your Place, Your Pace!
Can’t join us downtown? Bring the jingle wherever you are! Complete your 5K on a treadmill, at a park, or around your neighborhood. Email a photo or screenshot of your completed activity to info@thegoosechase.org so we can add you to the results. Pick up your race merchandise locally or arrange shipping for an additional $9.95. Share your celebration by tagging @thegoosechase or #thegoosechase!
🎁 Packet Pickup: 4:30–6:30 p.m. on race day.
Santa hats, Christmas sweaters, and festive outfits are encouraged—bring your holiday spirit and let’s make spirits bright, one stride at a time!

Race Participation & Protocal
Race Protocal
- All participants must be registered and wear their official race bib at all times during the event.
- Runners must follow the designated course route. Shortcuts or off-course running may result in disqualification.
- The race is open to runners, walkers, and wheelchair athletes. No bicycles, skateboards, or rollerblades permitted.
- Baby strollers are permitted in the back of the starting pack of runners. Please be courteous and aware of other runners/walkers
- Well-behaved, socialized, and leashed dogs are permitted.
- Headphones are permitted, but please be alert of traffic patterns and course direction at all times - especially at major intersections!
Timing & Results
- The race will be timed by We Run Events.
- The race will use B-tags attached to the back of your bib number. Ensure your bib and tag is securely attached to the outside of your clothing.
- Results will be available post-race at We Run Events kiosks or by scanning the appropriate RESULTS QR CODE onsite.
