April 25, Rush Strong School, Strawberry Plains

The 6th annual Ride the Plains is a scenic road tour of Jefferson Co, offering 31, 50, 62, and 75 mile fully supported ride options, all starting from Rush Strong School in Strawberry Plains. Super light traffic and beautiful scenery highlight this rolling trek through “the Plains”. All skill level cyclists are welcome—like all Race Day Events rides, RTP is NOT A RACE! Technical shirts to the first 300 registrants, with post ride Buddy’s BBQ again the reward at the finish. Also, additional swag (to be determined) provided by Biketopia Bicycles. Great rest stop support provided by the faculty of Rush Strong School, with proceeds going to that organization. Expected participation--300

July 4, Barley’s Tapoom & Pizzeria, Knoxville’s Old City

Back for its 9th edition, TdRT offers 31, 50, and 62 mile fully supported rides, along with an epic century route. King and Queen of the Mountain award jerseys will again be awarded to the first rider up infamous Butterfly Gap on the century route. Sport Tek performance ride shirt, logo socks, logo pint glasses, technical shirt, the usual Barley’s pizza and beer fare, and 2015 Tour de France stage 1 viewing will on the menu once again. Back for 2015 is the popular Tour de Rocky Top ride jersey and bib shorts from Hincapie apparel, available for purchase to riders who register before May 1. Expected participation--450

September 26, Barley’s Taproom & Pizzeria, Knoxville’s Old City

The 7th annual Barley’s Cycling Classic closes out the RDE ride season. Fully supported, rolling terrain 31/50/62 mile road rides that head east to Kodak and Sevier Co., as well as the usual Barley’s post ride menu of beer and pizza. Also, BCC logo pint glasses to the first 300 riders, as well as ride logo shirts. Close out the 2014 ride season on a high note before the weather turn cold. Expected participation—300.
