Why We Run: A 5K with Heart

Grandi Nan Nou Home Ministries is rooted in the heart of Léogâne, Haiti—where hope can feel scarce, but love and purpose still grow strong. Through after-school tutoring and hands-on training at our trade center, we are planting seeds of opportunity and faith in a place where both are desperately needed.

In a country where more than two-thirds of the labor force lacks steady employment and over 200 gangs threaten daily life, education and vocational training offer a powerful alternative. That’s why we launched our trade center—to equip young people with skills that can change their future. Courses in electricity, plumbing, French, ceramic tiling, and construction are offered alongside the Gospel, creating a safe, uplifting space for learning and transformation.

What surprised us most? The overwhelming number of people—men and women—eager to learn, grow, and live differently. These aren’t just students. They are dreamers, future leaders, and living proof that hope is stronger than fear.

Our Goal:
We’re aiming to raise $5,000 to provide 6 months of meals for the children and young adults we serve. For many of them, these are the only reliable meals they receive. Your participation in our Virtual 5K helps fill their stomachs—and their hearts—with hope.
