Description
Established in 1890, Historic Orange Mound is the oldest African American community in the City of Memphis. After a 127 year wait, Orange Mound hosted its FIRST 5k in 2017. JUICE Orange Mound is excited to host the 4th annual "Round The Mound" 5K and want YOU to join us.
Did you know that the 5K falls on Halloween in 2020! This made our theme selection process relatively easy as we are pumped to host a COSTUME RUN. And then COVID-19 hit so now its a VIRTUAL RUN (LOL!) That's right, you can experience your first 5K on your own terms. We definitely still encourage you to dress up and be sure to tag us in your costume.

The gist of our ROUND THE MOUND VIRTUAL 5K:
1. Pick a date to run your race wherever you choose. You get a week to submit your time HERE.
2. Tag us on social media--hopefully in your Halloween costume--via Facebook or Instagram!
3. The top finishers will have a medal mailed to celebrate their success. Who knows, we may even feature you on our page :)
Most notably, this event serves as the annual fundraiser for our 501c3 organization so even if you can't participate, DONATE! This year, all funds will help with pre-development costs associated with the JUICE Business Incubator!! That's right, we now are the proud new owners of the Evensky's building at 2363 Park Avenue. Help us have programming up and running by Summer 2021 <3

Are You Ready to go ROUND THE MOUND?
It all started with a dream. Five Orange Mound residents came together in 2017 to form the first planning committee and the rest is history! To date, our organization has successfully hosted THREE 5Ks in Historic Orange Mound and the momentum is growing. We cannot wait for this to be an event that inspires thousands of participants to come and explore Orange Mound--the oldest African American community in the City of Memphis.
