A Walk to Remember to be Cancer Aware

Description
This event is to help bring cancer awareness to the community while walking in honor and in memory of those that in the battling, survival, and memorial stages of navigating cancer. We ask that you wear your family members cancer ribbon color to brighten up the night in support to bring awareness to cancer. This event is free to attend. Come enjoy free resources/education, memorial ceremony, and a candlelight walk for free.
The $11.60 fee you see is for purchase of luminary bags and candles only for the event ($10.00 bag and candle and 1.60 processing fee). Luminary bags and candles are pre-sold for this event to be placed along the trail and will be lit in reverence of each person who has battled cancer. We will have the bags made ahead of time to be placed along the trail as you arrive for the event. Each bag purchased will represent only one individual not multiple names on one bag. There are options to purchase multiple bags within this platform at additional cost.
There is a google form attached in the giveaway section to fill out the names of your loved ones to be put on each of the bags. Please make sure you spell your family members name correctly. We will be utilizing the google form to put the names of your loved ones on the pre-made bags. You will have to fill out the google form on a separate page and then exit that page to continue back to complete your purchase of the bags through runsignup.
If you want to make your own bag for your family member; please show up early at the event to do so. The trail is one mile long and you are welcome to make as many laps or stay as long as you would like for this event.
There are many wonderful things happening at this event:
6pm- Come enjoy food truck goodness and walk around to gather resources from our vendors and listen to what they have for our community for cancer resources.
7pm- A memorial ceremony will be done in respect of those that have passed away and in honor of those who have survived and are battling cancer.
8pm- The walk will begin at dusk/dark to allow time for the candlelight theme to illuminate the night in remembrance of those who have faced a cancer diagnosis.
