Run4Water 5K: Celebrating World Water Day 2023 FAQs

How does this race work? Texas Water Mission's annual 5K allows participants to join us OR to run/walk wherever they like between March 11-22, 2023.  ALL participants will use the RaceJoy app to record their times or enter it manually on this website.  Feel free to run or walk on your favorite trail, park, beach, or treadmill! Whatever works for you and your schedule is welcome. When you have completed the 5K please share your race photos and videos with Texas Water Mission on social media using #Run4Water2022

When must I complete my run? For this event you must complete your 5K run between 12am, Saturday, March 11 and 11:59pm Wednesday, March 22, 2023, anytime and anywhere.

Where can I go if I want to join Texas Water Mission for the run? You can meet us at Confluence Park (https://sariverfound.org/confluence-park/visit-the-park/) the afternoon of Saturday, March 11, to join others and run along the Mission Reach of the San Antonio River Walk.  

How do I create a Group/Team? Participants are free to create a group or team and will have the option to during registration. You can join a group or team by searching for the name within the Groups/Teams tab at the top of the event webpage.

What is the mobile app for this year’s event? RaceJoy will provide a real-time, innovative running experience, that will track your time via GPS. To download the RaceJoy app and view the RaceJoy User Tutorial Here.

Is there a specific way to track my time? Timing is based on the honor system. You may track your time on the RaceJoy, app on your phone, watch, or any fitness device of your choice. Alternatively, you  may enter your time on the Results section of this website. You can do this by navigating to the Results Page, through the results link here, search for your name and add your time. 

Do I have to submit my time? You are not required to submit your time, but if you would like to appear on the online leaderboard, as well as be able to access your finisher’s certificate, you need to submit your time. 

How do I print my race bib? When you receive your Registration Confirmation...Go to the bottom and you will see “Don’t forget to check out the virtual bib for your registration! You can view it and download it here:”

How do I get my Finisher Certificate? From the online Results Link Here.

How do I get my t-shirt? You have two options: come see us at Confluence Park on the San Antonio River, Saturday, March 11, 2023 OR add a shipping fee of $7 to your registration so that we can send you your shirt when you complete the race.
