Like everything else in 2020, COVID has forced us to make some changes to the 7th Annual Drippin' with Thanks 5K, held every year on Thanksgiving Day in the Highpointe community. This year's race will be a VIRTUAL event and we are super excited to bring this fun activity to our community. Now more than ever, local families rely on the Helping Hands Food Bank to help them through tough times. We have a goal this year of donating $5,000 and we hope you will help us reach this goal! This year, thanks to our rock star sponsors, EVERY race participant will receive a FREE race t-shirt to commemorate the event.
So how does a VIRTUAL race work you may be wondering? Well, in this case you will have the entire week of Thanksgiving to get your 5K (or family 1K) in. After you have completed your run, if you'd like to be considered for an age group prize, you can submit your time online. We know this year's event will be different, but we sincerely hope you will consider signing up to participate. It's a great motivator to work off the Thanksgiving indulgences, while also helping OUR community. 100% of your race registration (as well as any additional donations) goes directly to the Helping Hands Food Bank and $1 equals 1 pound of food, so any contribution, large or small, really helps!

Here is the race route for the 5K run throughout Highpointe from previous years. In 2020, you can feel free to run the same course or you can run the VIRTUAL 5K from wherever you are!

Here is the Fun Run optional loop throughout Highpointe from previous years. For the 2020 VIRTUAL race you can choose to follow the same course or create your own from anywhere!

Q: Is this race 100% virtual? A: YES! Due to the COVID-19 pandemic the 2020 Drippin' with Thanks 5K will be completely VIRTUAL! Run from anywhere and support our local Helping Hands Food Bank.
Q: Is this a timed race? A: You may choose submit your time after running the virtual event if you want to be considered for prizes. Prizes will be given for winners in each division.
Q: Will there be refreshments? A: If they are available at your home 😜.
