The Race Has Been Cancelled
Dear 5K Participants,
The Mission Possible 5K/1K for Catholic Schools has Kicked off the Catholic Schools Week activities for the past two years. However, due to low registration numbers, the Mission Possible 5K/1K for Catholic Schools on January 27, 2024. at 8am has been cancelled. I apologize for any inconvenience this has caused you. Pre-registrants have the option of a refund or an in-kind donation to Catholic Schools at: https://runsignup.com/Race/TX/Beaumont/MissionPossible5kRunWalkforCatholicSchools
If you choose a refund it will be processed as soon as possible and will be credited back to your credit card that was used to make the transaction.
The staff at our five Catholic schools will focus their efforts on preparing for a busy and exciting Catholic Schools Week which begins January 28 and runs through February 3. The national theme for this week is Catholic Schools: United in Faith and Community.
During this annual Catholic Schools Week, our five schools will host a variety of activities such as open houses, games, special meals, presentations, and invite visitors to see the remarkable things occurring at our schools. Midweek, our students will gather on January 31, 2024, at 9am in St. Anthony Cathedral Basilica for our annual Sonshine Mass with Bishop Toups in giving thanks to God for the gift of Catholic Education in SE Texas.

FAQ's
Where can I pick up my race packet?
For school families who registered prior to January 9, 2024, packets will be sent to the school that they selected on the registration form. All others may pick up race packets at the Chancery (710 Archie St.) or on the morning of race day from 6:30 -8:00.
May I sign up to participate in the 5K/1K on race day?
Yes! Participants can sign up on race day. Please note that cash will NOT be accepted on race day. Only credit card payments will be accepted.
Where can I park on race day?
Parking can be found in several areas. Please see the attached map below. Unfortunately, parking is not allowed in the Chancery parking lot.
What time will Beaumont PD block off the streets?
BPD will block streets at 7:15am. Please secure parking before that time.
Can I bring my pet?
Only verified service animals will be allowed on the course.
Where do volunteers report on race day?
Volunteers will report to the information booth on race day. Parking for volunteers will be located at the Chancery in the side lot off of College St. Thank you for assisting!
What is required of volunteers?
The Diocese of Beaumont requires that all volunteers take the Safe Environment class. This will be verified prior to the race. Will there be restrooms for the public?
Port-o-potties will be located on the side of the Chancery, near the vendor tents. Port-o-potties will also be located at the midway point of the 5K.
What time does the race end?
Beaumont PD will remove barricades by 10:30am. The event will end, in its entirety by 10:30am, unless awards are still ongoing at that time.
What time will the awards ceremony begin?
The awards ceremony will begin at 9:45 am.

3rd Annual Mission Possible 1K & 5K Run/Walk for Catholic Schools

The 3rd annual Mission Possible 5K for Catholic Schools is an annual event benefiting the Catholic schools in the Diocese of Beaumont. This exciting day of family fun and fellowship will bring together our Catholic community. It will begin with a blessing from Bishop Toups, sanctioned 5K race and a post-race celebration. Proceeds from this race will fund the unique instructional needs of each of our Catholic schools. We are very excited to gather in person for this community event.
Registration Fees:
Kids K: $25 With Free Short Sleeve T-Shirt
5K: $30 With Free Short Sleeve T-Shirt
*Free t-shirt with each registration but we are offering a Dri Fit Short Sleeve t-shirt as an option for an additional $5 cost instead of the free t-shirt while supplies last with your registration.
Race Day Registration will be from 6:30 am – 7:30 am and the price will be $40 for the 5K and $35 for the 1K.
You will be able to create a team and get your family and friends to join it. The team with the most members will receive an award.
Mission Possible 5K/1K Packet Pick-up Information:
If you registered under a specific school, the packet
will be delivered to the school on January 25th.
For other registrants, packet pick up is at the Pastoral Center, 710 Archie St. Beaumont, TX 77701.
Registration will be open on race day.
