SSG Michael C. Murphrey Memorial 5K Run/Walk

On September 6, 2009 SSG Michael C. Murphrey was killed in action while serving in Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan. This year will mark the tenth anniversary of his death and his family would like to honor his service to our country with a 5k run/walk.  All proceeds raised from this event will go to SSG Michael Murphrey Memorial fund and presented to Backpack for Kids program.

Participants and volunteers pulled pork sandwiches and hot dogs will be served.

This is a rain or shine event no refunds will be given.

Race Day Schedule:

Registration: 5:30 p.m. (does not guarantee a t-shirt)

Pre-ceremony Activities @ 6:30 p.m.   

5K run/walk @ 7:00 p.m.

For your safety and the safety of others, we ask the following –

-              All strollers must be used on the edges of the route path

-              Pets are not allowed (medical animals are allowed, please stay to the side to avoid injury)

-              Please be mindful of small children, if you encounter small children please move around them

-              This Run/Walk is honoring a fallen hero, please remember to be respectful of that
