Pumpkinpalooza Trail Run - Marathon, Half Marathon, 10k and 5k
At the Millican Reserve
What you need to know: This will be a $1 entry to ensure everyone has signed a waiver and 100% of the money from this event will go to Millican Alliance. The course will be open as long as we are on site. This means you can run your Half Marathon and then run an extra 0.5 (ish)K (or just watch them run) to help your biggest fan earn a wooden finisher medal of their own (my 2.5 year old has been asking me to do this for a while).
They will receive a finisher award and a number to run with. This will not be officially timed with chips.
What has changed with packet pickup and race starts to comply with COVID guidelines? First, masks must be worn in the packet pickup and start/finish areas. We will have marked out areas for personal tents if you would like to set up a place for your group to hang out. You will not be required to wear a mask in your own tent area. All packets will be prepacked and placed in order by number. The start will be a rolling start, there will be staging lines to keep runners separated at the start. You must wait 15 second from the previous person before starting. You may start with family/roommates/training partners that you typically spend time with. Finisher medals will be spaced out at the finish line on tables. Please see the "Aid Station" section for changes.
Packet Pickup will be held at Millican Reserve.

All distances will take place on single track trails at Millican Reserve. These well maintained trails offer a variety of challenging and fun terrain that will entertain all levels of trail runners. We encourage everyone to join Lone Star Trail Runners so that you can get comfortable with the trails.
Marathon – 2 laps
Half Marathon – 1 lap
10k – 1 lap
5k – 1 lap

These are going to be a little different this time around. We are taking several precautions to eliminate contact between volunteers and runners. We will have multiple tables set up at each aid station with bottles of water and sealed food spaced out so you can avoid touching anything you do not need. Each section will be cleaned before a new bottle is allowed in its place. We will have trash cans just past the aid stations and about 1/8 to 1/4 of a mile down the trail so that you can keep moving at the stations.
Overall and Age-group awards will be given to top 3 finishers of each race. Awards will be handed out as soon as we can confidently award them.
Every 10 years after that, as high as we need to go.
Everyone will receive a t-shirt (These are men/women specific. If you would like a Unisex instead of a women's cut, please let me know) iand custom finisher medals. If you register after October 10th, and we run out of your shirt size, you will have a choice of other swag. Due to the current guidelines, everything else will be limited. We will do our best to provide a fun but safe post race environment.
This is a run or shine event. If we are forced to cancel do to COVID related issues, this will become a virtual event.
