Hope Starts Here 5K

Join us on May 18, 2024 for STA's Annual Hope Starts Here 5K at Klyde Warren Park (2051 N. Pearl St Dallas, Texas 75201)

Run or walk at this uplifting family-friendly event to honor selfless donor heroes and celebrate the gift of life.

FAQS:

• Are Pets Allowed?
  • Yes! Pets with leashes are allowed on the 5K course

• Do I need to register my infant? 
  • If your child plans to be in a stroller during the race, they do not need to register but please note only registered participants will receive a t-shirt. 

• How do I get my race t-shirt & BIB? 
  • In-Person participants can pick up their items at our Dallas Headquarters (8190 Manderville Lane, Dallas, TX 75231) on Thursday, May 16 from 9 AM-5 PM or Friday, May 17 from 10 AM-4 PM. 
  • Virtual participants will have their t-shirt mailed to the address they provided at registration. Please note, we cannot guarantee arrival before May 18. 

• Where is the course?
  • The 5k race starts and finishes at Klyde Warren Park in Downtown Dallas.

• Will there be activities after the race? 
  • YES! We will have a memorial for donor heroes, music entertainment, kid zone made for all ages, food and more! 

• How will I honor my loved one?
  • All attendees will have an opportunity to honor their loved ones on our in-person Wall of Hope. Please plan to bring a picture of your loved one with you on race day. If you are joining us virtually, you can still participate by submitting it online HERE.  

• Will there be awards? 
  • We will have in-person awards for the follow categories:
    • 1st, 2nd, 3rd Place Overall - Male
      1st, 2nd, 3rd Place Overall – Female
      1st Place Overall - Youth

• Is there a weather plan?
  • The event is subject to weather. Your safety is our highest priority. Should the event date, time, and hosting require modification due to weather, there will be no refunds of registration fees. Deferrals will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
