SMU THETA 5K

The Beta Sigma chapter of Kappa Alpha Theta at Southern Methodist University was founded in 1929. Since then, we have always made it a priority to give back to our community. Keeping up with our tradition, we will put on our annual Theta 5K run to be held on Sunday, September 12th, 2021. Theta 5K is our largest philanthropic event of the year benefiting Theta’s national philanthropy, CASA (Court-Appointed Special Advocates). CASA provides volunteers to advocate for abused and neglected children entering the court system. Your donations will go directly to CASA as they work to find each child a safe and permanent home. 

We need your help in order to make this year’s race a success. This year our goal is to raise $30,000. We need your support. We would love for you to join our run! If you cannot join us on the day of, please consider donating to our cause to help us put on yet another successful race. You can donate here by pushing the donate button. If you are unable to make a monetary donation at this time, we are also seeking items and gift certificates to include in our raffle on the day of the race. Any contribution you are able to make will be greatly appreciated and acknowledged.

By signing up for our annual 5K race, a t-shirt will be included, as well as medals for females who finish first, second, and third, and males who finish first, second, and third.
