Denton DoubleWide XC Race

You wanted it, you got it! The trail will ONLY be open to racers. No hikers/dog walkers/casual riders allowed that day. The race loop features plenty of room for passing almost the entire lap (hence the name "DoubleWide"). Club Spinistry members save 50% through 3/20/22!

Each lap is just over 5 miles. We will have a "Lead In" start that should separate most of the field prior to entering the trail on the first lap. Neutral transition area at the trailhead allows for handups and should be spectator friendly,

6 Lap, 30 mile Elite starts at 8:30am
4 Lap 20 mile Intermediate starts at 10:30am
2 Lap 10 mile Beginners/Experienced Juniors Under 15 starts at 12:00pm
1 Lap 5 mile Escorted Juniors Under 12 starts at 12:05pm

Beginner racers should be true Beginners in their first year of racing with no adult podium finishes to date. If this is not your first year of racing or you have ever scored a podium finish you are NOT a a Beginner. Sandbaggers will be disqualified at promoters' discretion. Experienced Juniors are expected to be capable and experienced MTB riders who do not need direct support on trail. Escorted Juniors are allowed to have parental escort along the trail. Please be aware that racers in other categories are likely to pass. Escorted Juniors and their escorts should yield the trail if being passed. Promoters will not be providing dedicated escorts for this category. Parents should make arrangements for escorts if needed.

Age/Gender breaks will be determined based on registrations. Minimum awards for Top 3 Overall in each Category + Top 1 Female in each category. This is a Spinistry Weather Guaranteed event. Signup fees can be applied towards another event of Club Spinistry membership If the event is postponed or cancelled because of inclement weather/trail conditions.
