Turkey TrOT

Join us for the first annual Turkey TrOT 5K fun run! 

Come run, walk, or trot a 5K or 1 mile race! 

In celebration of Occupational Therapy Week, the Texas Woman's University chapter of Pi Theta Epsilon will participate in a theme week from Monday, November 4th through November 8th. Then, On November 9th, we will have races, snacks, vendors, and more!

Dress-Up Days:

    Monday - Mismatch for Movement: Wear crazy/mismatched socks

    Tuesday - Hats off to Therapy: Wear your favorite or craziest hat

    Wednesday - Wild About Wellness: Wear something animal print

    Thursday - Rest and Rejuvenate: Dress in PJs or leisurewear (Scrubs count!)

    Friday - Occupational Balance: Dress as your favorite occupation!

Early Bird - $20

General Admission - $25

Additional Notes

• This event is untimed - it is a fundraising fun run! 
• All registrations must be done online before race day.
• Only early bird registrations are guaranteed a race T-shirt. 
• Snacks, water, and sports drinks will be provided. 
• Local vendors will be at this event.

Bib pickup and Race Day Information:

• Packet Pick-Up:
  
  • Friday, November 8th from 3pm to 7pm at TWU’s MCL Building, first floor lobby. (1314 N Bell Ave, Denton, TX 76209).
    
    • To save time on race day, come check in, get your bib, and T-shirt ahead of time!
      
  • Day of packet pick up will take place near the starting line starting at 7:15am.

  • Please arrive by 8:00am to allow plenty of time for parking and warming up. 
    
  • 8:15am start time for both the 1 mile and 5k. 
    
  • We’d love for you to wear your Turkey TrOT t-shirt!!
    
  • Bathrooms will be available in Woodcock Hall, near the start line.
• Event Parking:
  
  • Because the event is on the weekend, participants and their families are able to park on TWU’s campus for free, without a permit.
    
  • We would recommend parking in the lot next to the MCL Building, labeled as 15 on the attached parking map.
• After your run, please join us in exploring our local vendor fair, playing yard games, and enjoying some complimentary treats from our amazing sponsors!

The American Occupational Therapy Foundation (AOTF) is an organization that supports occupational therapy research and increases awareness about the important relationship between health and everyday activities (occupations).
