Description
Open to the entire community, the 14th Annual UTEP Miner Dash (5K Run/3K Walk) and Family Fitness Fiesta is organized by the Department of Kinesiology and brings awareness to the importance of a healthy lifestyle.
The 5K Run and 3K Walk routes traverse the beautiful UTEP campus with its distinctive Bhutanese-styled architecture. Runners, walkers and people in wheelchairs of all ages can participate.
Proceeds from the event benefit the ongoing programs developed by the UTEP Kinesiology Department, among others.

Packet Pick-Up
Packet Pick-Up will be on Saturday, November 2, 2024 from 10:00am-2:00pm in the lobby area of Memorial Gymnasium (101 W. Robinson Ave.).

Parking and Driving Directions
The Run/Walk Start/Finish area and Family Fitness Fiesta will be located at the beautiful Centennial Plaza in the center of the UTEP campus. Parking for the event is available off Sun Bowl Drive in the Sun Bowl Parking Garage and in parking area SB3.
FROM EASTBOUND I-10: Exit at Schuster Ave. (Exit 18A) and turn Left for one block to Sun Bowl Dr. Turn Left on Sun Bowl Dr. and then Turn Left into the SB3 parking area or continue past the traffic circle to the Sun Bowl Parking Garage on your right.
FROM WESTBOUND I-10: Exit at Schuster Ave. (Exit 18A) and stay towards the left to merge onto the frontage road. Continue straight on frontage road (behind parking area), then Turn Right onto University Ave. Turn right into SB3 parking area or continue around the traffic circle to the Sun Bowl Parking Garage.
Once parked, follow University Ave cross to Centennial Plaza located at the center of campus on University Ave.
Parking for those with disabilities is available within the Sun Bowl Parking Garage.
