Shadezilla Club Spinistry Ride

Gonna be scorching out there through the weekend it seems. Putting together a concept for a "Shadezilla" route. Farmersville to Wolfe City via county roads winding through a good bit of wooded areas on the way out. Back to Farmersville on the NETT which should be almost all shade. 57 miles as mapped BUT this route is not verified. Anyone adventurous enough to tag along?

Staging from the Onion Shed in Farmersville. We will go out on the NETT for about 6 miles and then take a mix of paved and unpaved county roads into Wolfe City at mile 35 of the route. From there the plan is to take the NETT back to Farmersville. Current status of the NETT is not known at this time. If it is too overgrown in sections there will be accessible go around by county roads.

Again, this route is unverified. This may not be the ride for you if you aren't comfortable improvising along the way. This is not an official event. It will require self navigation. There are no water tables/aid station or course markings. There are no SAG vehicles. Any riders who run into difficulty will need to make their own arrangements to overcome said difficulty.

Tubeless tires are highly recommended for this one and the NETT can be rough in spots. This route is not appropriate for a road bike. Minimum 40mm tire width is suggested but bigger would be more better.
