Start your Independence Day the Fort Worth way!

The longtime Cox Running Club 4th of July 5K has been rebranded as the Fort Worth 4th of July 5K to create a bigger, more community-focused celebration for runners, walkers, families, friends, and the entire Fort Worth community.

Join us on Sunday, July 4, 2027, at Trinity Park Pavilion #3 for a fun and festive 5K run/walk in the heart of Fort Worth. This event is designed for all ages, all paces, and all fitness levels, whether you are racing for a personal best, walking with family, or simply starting your Fourth of July with great energy and community spirit.

Later that evening, the City of Fort Worth will celebrate with its annual fireworks show in downtown Fort Worth, making this the perfect way to kick off a full day of Independence Day celebration.

6:30 AM – Packet Pickup & Race-Day Registration Opens
8:00 AM – 5K Run/Walk Starts

Race-day registration and packet pickup will take place at the race site.

5K Run/Walk

Registered by April 5, 2027: $35
Registered by May 3, 2027: $40
Registered by June 7, 2027: $45
Registered by July 3, 2027: $50

To guarantee a race shirt, participants must be registered by June 25, 2027. Remaining shirts will be distributed after the 5K start on a first-come, first-served basis.

Race-Day Packet Pickup: Begins at 6:30 AM at the race site.

ABOUT THE EVENT

The Fort Worth 4th of July 5K Presented by Cox Running Club is more than just another holiday race. It is a community celebration created to bring Fort Worth together on Independence Day.

For years, Cox Running Club has hosted a Fourth of July 5K for local runners and walkers. In 2027, we are taking the event to the next level by rebranding it as the Fort Worth 4th of July 5K and inviting the entire Fort Worth community to be part of it.

This fun and welcoming 5K is perfect for families, first-time participants, competitive runners, casual walkers, local businesses, running groups, and anyone who wants to start the holiday with movement, community, and celebration.
