Kick off the TORS series with a wild west shootout just outside of historic Fort Worth stockyards.
This ain't no Sunday cruise. Expect aggressive racing from gun to finish as competitors push hard through every corner to gain an advantage. The circuit format means nowhere to hide—riders will face the same demanding sections repeatedly, with fatigue mounting and stakes rising.

Take the race off road to the Gateway Park mountain bike trail. This rootin' tootin' course is a tale of two halves that'll keep you on your toes.
The First Half: Outlaw Territory. Buckle up, partner! The opening stretch is a technical gauntlet that'll test your grit and determination. Rocky terrain, tricky obstacles, and challenging descents await.
The Second Half: The Open Range. Just when you think you've conquered the frontier, the trail opens up to fast, flat, and flowing sections that let you unleash your inner cowboy.

We are excited to announce the third season of the Texas Off-Road Series, a collection of mountain bike races in the Houston/Austin/DFW regions of Texas. Brought to you by the organizers of WORS, America’s Largest Off-Road Series, the aim of TORS is to offer riders of all backgrounds and abilities a competitive, fun, and family friendly environment to test their skills on Texas’s finest trails.
This series spans 5 weekends with 2 days of racing on each weekend (excluding the last weekend – Saturday only). Maximizing your race to travel time equation. With 9 total races to earn points on these races will offer a great opportunity for all skill levels to advance. Each race weekend will feature multi-day Cross-Country style racing. Racers competing in the various disciplines will compete for category titles as well as the Series Overall title, while a series-long scoring championship will encourage participants to take on all five event weekends.
Reduced entry fees for kids comp, women’s only fields, and discounted “beginner” racing all highlight the series’ commitment to lowering barriers of entry and creating an inclusive environment for all.

CATEGORY DEFINITIONS
- Beginner: (All ages and genders)
- A non-series category for individuals looking for a casual initial experience of mountain bike racing. Race distance is approximately 3-5 miles on a beginner-friendly course. You will need to register and sign a waiver. This is a fun, inclusive, and pressure-free category.
- Kids Comp: (Boys and Girls, racing age 7-14)
- Racers in this category must be able to ride without direct parental supervision and should be able to complete a five-mile trail in less than 1 hour. Races for this category are typically 3-5 miles, with the winning time typically being approximately 25 minutes.
- Racers in this category must be able to ride without direct parental supervision and should be able to complete a five-mile trail in less than 1 hour. Races for this category are typically 3-5 miles, with the winning time typically being approximately 25 minutes.
- Citizen Men: (Boys and Men, all ages)
- A Citizen competitor shall be a new or recreational racer with limited riding time. It is designed to be a category for novice and beginner riders, with races typically being 8-12 miles in length. Winning times for most races are approximately 40 minutes.
- Citizen Women (Girls and Women, all ages)
- A Citizen competitor shall be a new or recreational racer with limited riding time. It is designed to be a category for novice and beginner riders, with races typically being 8-12 miles in length. Winning times for most races are approximately 40 minutes.
- Sport Men (Boys and Men)
- A sport competitor is an experienced racer of average ability. Races will be 12-18 miles. The Citizen and Sport Men will each ride the same course and the Sport Men will do one additional lap. winning time in this category will generally be approximately 70 minutes.
- Sport Women (Girls and Women, all ages)
- A Sport competitor is an experienced racer of average ability. Races will typically be 12-16 miles in length. The Citizen and Sport Women will each ride the same course and the Sport women will do one additional lap. Winning times for most races are approximately 70 minutes.
- Elite Women (Girls and Women)
- Participants in this category will race on the same course, with Elite riders doing one additional lap. An elite competitor is a seasoned racer with ample racing experience. Wining times for the Elite categories will be approximately 90 minutes, respectively. An international pro or USA Cycling Mountain Category 1 Annual License is required to compete in the Elite category. Elite Jr Girls (15-18) will race one less lap than the Elite Women.
- Elite Men: (Boys and Men, ages 15+)
- Participants in this category will race on the same course, with Elite riders doing one additional lap. An elite competitor is a racer looking for the highest level of competition in TORS. Either an International Pro or USA Cycling Mountain Category 1 annual license is required to compete in the elite category. Winning times for comp and elite will typically be around 90 minutes and 100 minutes, respectively. Cat 1 Jr Boys (15-16 & 17-18) will race the TORS Comp distance.
