DORBA 2014 NORTH TEXAS XC SERIES

Sat. Sepr 6th- Boulder Park

Sun. Sept. 21st - Northshore

Sun. Oct 5th - RCP

Sun. Oct. 19th - Johnson Branch

Sun Nov 9th - Frisco Community Trail

TEAM NAME must be included in Pre-reg to count toward team standings (no day-of) Team Points are total of all individiual points combined.

SERIES SCORING

Series awards presented to the top 5 in each category (at DORBA end-of-year party)

Each riders' series score is the sum of all their races.
Series tiebreakers:
I. (Among top 3 results:) Most first place finishes. Most second place finishes...etc... thru most 10th place finishes.
II. Total combined race time in common, non-dropped races

Bonus Points: Each team may "host" a race by creating expo activities and atmosphere. DORBA racers will vote on a poll to determine the best hosts. Points will be awarded to the top 5 as follows: [250-200-150-100-50]
Each teams' series score is the sum of all their racers + bonus points.
Series tiebreakers: NONE. Ties will be honored equally!

Frisco Race - Schedule of Events:

10:30 AM – Registration Opens (Registration ends 30 minutes prior to each race)
11:00 AM - Juniors 12 & Under

12:00 PM (Noon) – Cat 3 Cross Country
1:30 PM - Cat 2 Cross Country

3:30 PM - Pro/Cat 1 Cross Country

Kid Crit - please check the DORBA site for exact times
Kids Crit (ages 8-under) 0.2-0.5 mile short track fun race (distances based on age/ability)(Non-Competitive)
Youth Short Track (ages 9-14) 1-2 mile short track fun races (distances based on age groups)(Non-Competitive)

Estimated Race Distances:
Cross Country Lap for racers aged 13-up is approximately 8 miles (subject to change based on final course marking)
Cross Country Lap for racers aged 12-under is approximately 1.8 miles

Awards/Prizes by Category:

PRO/OPEN Men & Women - $30 per racer + 25% payout from Cat 1 entries paid 10 places deep (minimum 15 riders preregistered per field)
Cat 1 Men & Women Age Groups (and SS Open) - $225 payout 3 deep ($100 / $75 / $50) (min. 10 riders preregged)
(Reduced purse awarded if minimum preregistered field size not reached)
Cat 2 – Ribbons to the top 3
Cat 3 – Ribbons to the top 3

Adults -- $40. Online / with $10 cash back to DORBA members paid onsite / Onsite Registration --$45 w/ no discounts

Juniors -- 18-under: $25 12-under $20 with $10 cash back to DORBA members paid onsite / Onsite Registration 18-under $30 12-under $20 w/no discounts

OFFICIAL DORBA RAINOUT POLICY: All of our racing events are created with the primary intent of raising revenue in support of our mission to promote the sport of mountain biking, land access, and advocacy in the North Texas area. Each racing event requires substantial investment and hundreds of hours in volunteer commitment. For these reasons and the financial viability of our club, we cannot offer refunds or “event comps” due to acts of God. In the event of cancellation, DORBA will attempt to offer a make-up race on an established “rain date”. However, if this option is not available, we SINCERELY thank you for your donation as our organization could not function without your support.
