Our racing mission continues to be to produce affordable, hedonistically fun & athletically competitive races, that are technically sound (correctly-measured courses with minimum turns and visible distance – mile or Km – markers), that also benefit some charity(-ies) with a populist & gender parity focus – for the average runner/walker (including the novices) and also for the seasoned, serious racer.
This race kicks off the Summer Scintillation Troika (SST) series as its first leg – the Mid-Year Muse & Motion IX 5K / 1 Mile Run/Walk. The race offers an invitingly beautiful trail course at Mike Lewis Park in Grand Prairie . As you embrace the inspiration of a philosophic muse along the course -- literally enacting music and poetry in motion -- your physical motion will be tracked properly. Donated new books age-appropriate for 3rd - 8th Graders are encouraged for H.O.P.E. (Helping Our Pupils Excel) Reading/Tutoring program – which caters to our 4th Grade through 8th Grade kids, all of them seeking their own muses. So come for the fun and for the charity….
By the way, as in past years, there will be a special recognition award for everyone that registers for all three SST races….
Net proceeds from the race will benefit H.O.P.E. (Helping Our Pupils Excel) Reading/Tutoring program….
