Every Beat Matters.
Heart conditions can affect young people who appear completely healthy.
The Every Beat Matters 5K & Fun Run brings our community together to raise awareness, support families, and help iHOPE-Kids provide resources, testing, education, and research to find answers when they are needed most.
iHOPE-Kids, A Ray of Hope Foundation, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to preventing sudden cardiac death in children and young adults affected by rare and often undiagnosed heart-rhythm disorders. Founded in memory of Baby Ray Skaggs, whose death remains unexplained, iHOPE-Kids unites families, physicians, and researchers to advance awareness, research, genetic testing, CPR education, and lifesaving resources for at-risk children and their families.
Each year, thousands of children experience cardiac arrest — many without warning, and many families left without answers. A child can appear perfectly healthy while carrying an inherited heart condition that puts them, and their relatives, at risk. Through research, education, and family support, iHOPE-Kids is working to change that outcome.
