Why We Run

Since 1981, RMHC Greater Houston has offered a home away from home providing care, compassion and hope to families with seriously ill children being treated in Texas Medical Center member institutions. The House provides a place to find rest and respite, activities, meals and snacks for our families, at no cost - with 111 sleeping rooms across four locations: Holcombe House, Texas Children's Hospital, Children's Memorial Hermann Hospital, MD Anderson Children's Cancer Hospital.

We also provide a CareMobile that travels out into our local community and provides access to well checks and immunizations for school aged children.

Competitive and fun runners, walkers, and families with children are welcome. Please leave Fido at home as dogs will not be allowed inside Sam Houston Park.

Registered participants receive a finisher medal, event t-shirt, & swag donated by our sponsors.

100% of proceeds benefit the children & families of RMHC Greater Houston. $150,000 will be matched, dollar for dollar, by the Trafigura Foundation!
