Description
It is with a heavy heart that I must announce the cancellation of the Sgt. Brewster Run Against Domestic Violence. As you are all aware of, COVID19 has swept through our great nation and wreaked havoc on not just our lives but our entire being. Coincidentally, large gatherings planned for 2020 have come to a halt and the running community, including planned runs, have suffered terribly. At this time I have no plans to reschedule the run and instead I will just sell the customized shirts on the runsignup website until the date that the run was planned to take place on June 28, 2020.
Additionally, I ask you all to consider the buying of a t shirt to show your support for the family and help us remember one of our own heroes, Sgt. Christopher Brewster.
All proceeds including donations will be given to the family after all the proceeds have been collected.
If you have purchased a remembrance coin, you have the option to get your money back, if not, that money will also be donated to the family. The same goes with timer purchase.
If you have any further questions or want a refund for the coin or timer, please feel free to email me at: Houstonremembranceruns@gmail.com
On December 7th, 2019, while responding to a domestic violence call, Sgt. Christopher Brewster was tragically killed in the line of duty. In memory of his bravery, as well as in remembrance of his life, we are hosting a 5K/1k run in his honor to raise awareness for victims of domestic violence. With your participation and generous donations, we can help the Brewster family in their time of need. May we never forget our fallen hero, Sgt. Christopher Brewster, whom lost his life while attempting to do what he loved; to protect and serve the citizens of Houston.
