Tour de Houston offers Houstonians and visitors a unique way to view the city with bike routes winding through Houston’s historic neighborhoods, scenic districts, and parks. With three ride length options, the Tour de Houston is the perfect event for leisure riders or cycling enthusiasts.

The ride begins and ends at Avenida de las Americas at Discovery Green. Riders can also enjoy a post-ride party with music, free food, and beverages.

Ride Start Times

• 45-mile Ride - 8:00 a.m.
• 20-mile Ride - Immediately after all 45-mile riders clear the Start Line
• 10-mile Ride - Immediately after all 20-mile riders clear the Start Line

*No riders will be allowed to leave the start line after 8:30 a.m. Routes will be secured until 1:00 p.m.

Rider Information

Helmets are required for all participants. If you do not wear a helmet, you will not be allowed to participate. There are no exceptions. 

All rest stops will provide water, hydration beverages, fruit, plus sweet and salty snacks. Portalets will be stationed at every rest stop. Bike repair and support will be on-site at Discovery Green and at each rest stop to assist with bike needs. Sag wagons will be en route should a rider need a ride back to Discovery Green.

Tour de Houston is a rain-or-shine ride. The top priority is the safety of the riders, volunteers, and spectators. We continue to coordinate closely with the City of Houston, including the Office of Emergency Management, to actively monitor weather conditions in real time. We will provide updates should any adjustments to the event schedule or route become necessary.

All registered riders will receive a cotton event t-shirt as a part of their registration fee.

*A limited number of event shirts will be available for sale for $10 during packet pickup and on Ride Day. Sizes and quantities are not guaranteed. Cash sales are preferred.
