START LOCATION: We can't wait to see you tomorrow, January 7th, for the Trophy Trot! Upon arrival make your way to Lamar near the Hilton Americas and look for the start line inflatable!

The Trophy Trot presented by Houston Methodist (formerly the Extra Yard 5K) is a family-friendly run/walk hosted in conjunction with the College Football Playoff national championship that offers a chance for locals, as well as visiting fans to take part in national championship weekend.

The 2024 edition of the Trophy Trot presented by Houston Methodist will be held on Sunday, January 7 in the heart of downtown Houston and, for the first time, will feature both the 5K and 10K distances.

Each Trophy Trot participant will receive a t-shirt and medal, and there will be an opportunity for participants to win tickets to the CFP National Championship, slated for Houston's NRG Stadium on Monday, January 8, 2024.

Packet Pickup will be held this Saturday, January 6th from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the George R. Brown Convention Center inside Playoff Fan Central. We will also host a Race Day packet pickup from 7 a.m. to 8:50 a.m. in front of the George R. Brown Convention Center.

Proceeds from the Trophy Trot benefit Extra Yard for Teachers, the College Football Playoff Foundation's primary platform that elevates the teaching profession by inspiring and empowering quality teachers. Proceeds also benefit Houston Loves Teachers, a citywide outreach and support effort for educators, both present and future.
