Event Description

It's our 15th Anniversary! Please join us for the only race in beautiful West University Place. Come dressed as your favorite ghoul or goblin. Our competitive 5k course is flat and fast, chip timed and USATF certified. The Kids Fun Run is not timed and is 1 mile long.

Registration

5K - Early registration - $35 until September 30, $40 until October 28, $45 at registration on race day. Kids Fun Run $30 until September 30, $35 until October 28, $40 at registration on race day. Race day registration will be touchless, so please have a phone to scan a QR code. No cash accepted.This is a new text field ready for your content.

Course Information

We are a USATF 5K Certified Course. The course is flat and fast, taking place on the beautiful tree-lined streets of West University Place with only 6 turns.

Beneficiary

All proceeds benefit the City of West U's Parks and Recreation Department.

Awards

Overall Male and Female, Masters Male and Female will receive awards. Top three male and female finishers in the following age groups: 10 and under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80+.

Refund and Transfer Policy

There are no refunds or transfers.

Stroller and Dog Division

Due to the large number of children that participate in our race, for safety reasons we will have a separate division for people running with strollers or dogs. This division will have its own start following the start of the regular 5K.

Please register for this division if you plan to run with a stroller or dog (cost is the same, but it will help us get your time right). If you enter in this division, you will not be eligible for any overall or age group awards, but we do have awards for the overall winners of the division.

Bikes, Scooters, etc.

No bikes, scooters, rollerblades or skateboards permitted in either event.

Parking

Parking in West U is extremely limited. If you can, please plan to walk or ride your bike to the race. If you do drive, make sure to park legally without blocking driveways. The West U police will likely be out ticketing and we would hate for you to have more than sore legs as a souvenir of the race.nt.

Chip Timing

The 5k race will be chip timed by DoMore Race Services using Race Result chip system.

Costume Contest

There will be a costume contest at 9:15. Awards will be given for costumes in the following categories: Best Female, Best Male, Best Couple and Best Child.
