Description
Known as the perfect trail running course for veteran runners wanting a 100mile P.R., as well as the perfect race for rookie ultra runners wanting a good setup to accomplish their goal. Expect frequent and incredible (known around the world) aid station support all day and night. Generous cut-offs. A fun atmosphere for family, friends, and awaiting crew members with 5 x 20 mile beautiful loops around the lake, over wooden bridges, and through the tall pines. Gently undulating trails on a bed of pine needles. Don't let the name fool you, you don't have to worry about rocks on this course, but keep your eyes on the tree roots grabbing at your feet.
While every racer will get some cool swag, January 2 is the deadline to get a shirt. If you register after January 2, you will get some cool Race Swag! This could be a variety of items like a trucker cap, neck gaiter, etc. It will be a cool Swag Item!

ROCKY RACCOON 100 PARTICIPANT CAPS: Due to a limited amount of space at Huntsville State Park, all Rocky Racoon 100 races have a participant cap.
Rocky Raccoon 100 mile and 100km both start on Saturday, February 3, 2024.

WAIT LIST INFORMATION
This is a first in, first out process, by race distance. Each runner wanting to register for a wait-listed race must join the Wait List. Once the Wait List is active, a runner can formally defer his or her race entry. (For deferral details, please see the Tejas Trails Policies.) Once a runner defers and opens a spot, the next person on the Wait List will be contacted automatically and will then will have 24 hours to accept the race entry, register and pay the race entry cost. After 24 hours, if the entry is not taken by that person on the Wait List, that spot will be offered to the next person on the Wait List. This ensures that each person receiving the offer has the same amount of time to respond. Please check your email often to make sure you don’t miss your offer. This process happens 24/7 including weekends and holidays, so check your email frequently.
A little history... last year's Rocky Raccoon Wait List had over 100 runners. We got through the entire list a full week and a half before the race.
Note: please sign up on the Wait List for the specific race distance you want to do. Don't sign up for a shorter race and then request to upgrade to a longer distance. That causes extra work for us and slows down other runners on the Wait List from getting their invitations.

Huntsville State is a Texas state park. It is against park rules to drink or display an alcoholic beverage in a public place at any time. Violators will be disciplined accordingly by TPWD State Park Police Officers.
