A VALENTINES'S DAY THEMED 5K/10K RACE!
Preparations continue for the 2021 Irving Love on the Run scheduled for 2/13/2021. For the in-person race to happen, the percentage of total hospital capacity in Dallas County with lab-confirmed COVID-19 must be below 14%. Currently, Dallas County is above 14%, but numbers are in a decline. We continue to work with our race day partners to be ready for February 13, as there is always a chance the percentage will meet the requirement by race day. A final decision will be announced on February 1. Additional information will be communicated to all registered participants on Feb 1. We have turned off the in-person registration in the meantime. The virtual option is available. You will LOVE the race swag! If we are able to continue with the in-person event, an announcement will be made and in-person registration will be turned back on. There is a max capacity of 600 participants if the requirements are met. Subscribe to get updates.
The hospitalization rate for lab-tested COVID-19 patients in Dallas County continues to be over 14%. The most recent report today is at 17.02%.
A decision has been made to move this year's Love on the Run event to a virtual-only race. Participants registered for the in-person race have been emailed further instructions.
This event follows the standard running industry policy: all entry fees are non-refundable. When you register for this event, you are making a non-refundable purchasing decision and must agree to this policy. This policy stays in effect whether you are injured, have an unexpected business or family emergency, illness, pregnancy, etc. There are NO exceptions. Once you register, unrecoverable racecourse services and items are paid for you as if you will be attending the event.
Due to COVID19, if the in-person event does not take place, participants have the following options:
In-person is converted to the virtual event, race swag will be shipped at no extra charge. Participants can also defer to the following year's event at no extra charge. The participant can transfer to one of the 6 future events part of the series at no extra charge.
