Description
The Keller Williams Premier Back 2 School 5k and kids K race will be held on Labor Day, Monday September 1, 2025 at the Villagio Town Center in Cinco Ranch. The 5K will be a chipped timed race on a certified course with all proceeds benefiting The Ballard House and Ainsley's Angels. All registrants will receive a race shirt and a chipped bib. Registrants that sign up after August 15th are not guaranteed to receive a race shirt, or to receive a shirt in their preferred size. We will make all reasonable efforts to accommodate shirts and shirt sizes for all entries up to race day. Awards will be given for overall winners, masters winners and age group awards for 10 year age groups. The kids 1K race will not be a timed event but it will be full of fun and participants will receive a prize at the end for finishing.
Race proceeds will benefit The Ballard House and Ainsley's Angels of America. The Ballard House is a Katy, TX facility dedicated to providing compassionate support to individuals and their caregivers who travel to Houston, Texas for medical treatment. They offer a temporary, no-cost home away from home, fostering a warm and welcoming environment that prioritizes safety and community. Ainsley’s Angels works to ensure everyone can experience endurance events and aims to build awareness about America's special needs community through inclusion in all aspects of life.
Katy Area Running Club (KARC) is a local 501(c)3 non-profit organization through our association with RRCA serving area runners and the local running community. All runners and walkers are welcomed.

ONLINE REGISTRATION CLOSES at 5 PM on Sunday August 30th
Race packets not picked up by 6:45 AM on Monday September 1st will be given to participating runners on a first come first serve basis.
Please signup before August 15 to guarantee your shirt size. If you need to exchange a shirt for correct size, we will try to accommodate you after the race at the KARC tent.

Course Map - 5K and 1K
Here is a map of the course. The 5k is a USATF certified course # TX22042LAB. The Kids K and family walk will begin at 7:10 just after announcements and the national anthem. It is un- timed, runners that want a time need to switch to the 5k race at or before packet pickup. If you are registered for the 5k you may participate in the 1K with a family member but please avoid the timing mats! The 5K will start at approximately 7:30 with our Ainsley's Angels athletes in their chariots ! The rest of the 5K participants start at 7:35 and we ask the fastest runners to please line up in front. Stay around after the race to enjoy our sponsor tents, and the awards ceremony at approximately 9:00. We hope for nice weather but this is a rain or shine event. In the case of severe weather we may delay the start (shelter in the garage) or cancel to ensure everyone stays safe.
