YaraStar's Virtual Scholarship 5K Run

Welcome to YaraStar Foundation's 2nd Annual Virtual Run! The YaraStar Foundation Virtual Scholarship 5K Run is a fun virtual event held throughout the months of April & May, allowing individual participants and teams from all over the world to complete a timed 5K run or walk at their convenience. 

This year, our goal is to raise $15,000 to provide 15 scholarships for precious children who require educational support and brain development therapy. The Virtual Scholarship 5K Run serves as our major fundraising initiative for the year, and we believe that with your support we can make an even greater impact.

Here's How it Works

• This is a VIRTUAL RACE.

• WALK or RUN, ANYTIME & ANYPLACE you want during Aril & May 2024.

• Use a free app of choice like RaceJoy, Strava, RunKeeper, or MapMyRun to track and time your performance.

• All timed runs/walk must be completed by May 31st, 2024

Once you have completed your 5K, upload your results (including an image of your performance) on RunSignUp no later than May 31, 2024 

Participate as a team or an individual. International runners also welcomed!

About YaraStar Foundation

The YaraStar Foundation was formed in honor of Yara’s life and legacy; a spunky 3.5-year-old with Down Syndrome who passed suddenly in April 2018. The Foundation provides scholarships to early intervention services for special-needs kids, as well as educational scholarships to marginalized kids, thereby giving them an opportunity to thrive and reach their full potential in this world. Upon registration, you will receive your digital runner's bib in your email.

Joining forces not only amplifies the fun but also strengthens our collective impact in supporting children in need through scholarships. Plus, as a team, you'll enjoy some good competition, motivation, and the satisfaction of making a difference together.
