Women Running has gone Virtual
DUE TO THE CORONAVIRUS, WE ARE OFFERING EVERYONE REGISTERED FOR THE WOMEN RUNNING EVENT A VIRTUAL RUN AND A TRANSFER TO ANOTHER DAR 2020 EVENT.
DOING GOOD THINGS: DAR is donating to the SafeHaven Women's Shelter in honor of the athletes participating in the virtual Women Running event. On 3/24/2020, The Fort Worth Star-Telegram reported that, “For the first time in more than 40 years, SafeHaven officials... said they would not be able to accept new domestic violence victims at the organization’s Tarrant County shelters”. (See full article on: www.star-telegram.com) If you would like more information about SafeHaven or have friends who would like to participate in this endeavor by making a direct contribution, please visit SafeHaven's website: https://www.safehaventc.org.
VIRTUAL RUN: Run (or walk) your chosen distance "Virtually" anywhere that is safe and provides social distancing by April 25, 2020.
RESULTS: Participants will receive an email from www.runfarusa.com with a personal link and instructions on how to report your virtual results and print your finisher's certificate. You can see interim results at www.mychiptiming.com.
TRANSFER: Women Running participants can transfer to another DAR 2020 event scheduled after May 10th. A credit up to (but not greater than) your Women Running registration fee will automatically be applied to your transfer. This link will give you the steps to transfer your race: https://help.runsignup.com/support/solutions/articles/17000062923-transfer-to-another-race Transfers must be completed by midnight April 25, 2020.
