Hopeful Hearts

The "Hopeful Hearts" 5K being held at Andy K. Wells park in Killeen, TX on 10/16/16 from 9:00am-2:00pm it is being held in the honor of an infant named Emerson Bernier. Emerson was born in January of 2016 and was immediately diagnosed with a highly complex congenital heart defect. Emerson had her first open heart surgery at 2 weeks old and her second one will take place in November of 2016. Her family is raising money to be able to travel for this surgery and to be able to be by her side as she recovers. Helping to raise these funds allows that to happen while still ensuring that things back home are taken care of. The run is a "just for fun" run. Items such as beverages, post run snacks, photo booth, finish line, timer, etc will be provided. This race will have prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners. However, your race times will not reflect on the website. There will be a virtual run option and t shirts for the race being sold for you to take advantage of as well. Please join us in supporting a local family fight CHD along side their daughters side. If you do not run, your support and encouragement means just as much. Thank you for all that you do.
