Habitat For Humanity

Habitat's Vision:   A world where everyone has a decent place to live.
Our Mission:   Seeking to put God's love into action, Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities and hope.

Longview Habitat for Humanity is a Christian ecumenical ministry , founded in Longview , that  works to build homes, communities, and hope by partnering with low-to-moderate income families to build or renovate simple, safe, decent and  affordable homes.

Partner families work alongside volunteers to build the houses, keeping the construction costs low.  After contributing at least 350 hours of sweat equity, making a nominal down payment and closing fees and attending financial and homebuyer education classes, partner families purchase the homes with a zero interest, long-term mortgage provided by Longview Habitat for Humanity.

To date, with the support of the Longview community, Habitat has housed over 83 families and continues to seek out hard-working families for the program.
