2018 MARFA TECH TROT

Runners, walkers, and folks of all ages and abilities are invited to lace up their sneakers in support of Marfa Public Schools on Saturday, September 1, 2018. All proceeds from the race will go to the school's technology fund to purchase computers and software for Marfa Public School students. This fun run/walk  is part of the 32nd annual Marfa Lights Festival. 

The 5 kilometer foot race starts at 8:00 am at the Marfa Visitor Center. The course takes participants west through Marfa neighborhoods, out beautiful Pinto Canyon Road to the edge of town, then past Fort D.A. Russell and back to the Visitor Center finish line. Water and gatorade stops will be available along the route.

Please register on-line by August 15 at the early entry fee of $25. After August 15 the registration fee will be $30. Race day registration will be $35.

Each participant will receive a 2018 Tech Trot performance t-shirt and a Marfa goodie bag. Awards will be presented on the Marfa Lights Festival main stage outside the Presidio County Courthouse at 11:00 am. Medals will be presented to the fastest male and female finishers in nine age categories. The fastest overall male and female finishers will each be awarded overnight stays at one of Marfa's downtown hotels.
