Description
United We Run! United We Run was created to showcase unique the oldest town in Texas and to support our Veterans. We are offering a family-friendly atmosphere and something for all ages and skill levels including 5k, 10k and kids 1k runs. Whether you’re a beginner or experienced runner, an elite competitor or an age-grouper looking to cross the finish line, you’ll find exactly what you’re looking for at the United We Run!
Location of the Run : Thomas J Rusk Elementary School - 411 North Mound Street, Nacogdoches, Texas 75961
PACKET PICKUP: Packet pickup will be the day before the race from 4-6 pm at Dr. Vijaya Pokala's Office, Just across the street from Memorial Hospital at 1023 N Mound St. Nacogdoches, Texas 75961. It will also be available at the 411 Mound Street on race morning from 6:15-7:00 am.
SHIRTS: Participants are provided with a high-quality performance t-shirt. T- shirts available to those who register by July 1st. T-shirt sizes are not guaranteed to those who register after July 1st (size availability can be seen as your register). After that, t-shirts are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
AWARDS and MEDALS: ALL 1K, 5K, and 10K participants upon completing the 1k, 5K or 10K will receive participation metals. We will have awards for the top three men and women finishers for the 5k and 10k. We will be also be giving out awards for each age group. Please stick around at the end to see if you finished in the top three.
Race Day Timeline
RACE DAY REGISTRATION: Race day registration will be available the morning of the race between 6:15 and 6:55am. Online registration will close on July 2nd
· 6:15 – Packet pick up and late sign in.
· 6:30am – Start Yoga stretches by Arrie Tucker
o Announce start time for 10k/5k/1k
· 6:45am - Start letting sponsor speak at with the mic.
o Announce start time for 10k/5k/1k
· 6:55am - National Anthem by the American Legion
o Announce start time for 10k/5k/1k
· 7:00am - 10k will start.
o Announce start time for 5k/1k
· 7:15am - 5k and 1k will start.
· 8:30am - Start the awards ceremony.

Race Day Social Distancing Plan
Spectators :
o Will be encouraged to find a cheering spot along the route instead of waiting at the START/FINISH line. o Will be encouraged to social distance outside.
Volunteers :
o Will be dispersed along the route respecting social distancing guidelines.
Participants:
Each race will have a flexible rolling chip start. 10K race can start anywhere between TBD and TBD with plenty of spacing between racers to ensure social distancing measure are met. 5K race can start anywhere between TBD and TBD with plenty of spacing between racers to ensure social distancing requirements are met. The participant initiates the start of his registered race by crossing through the starting line. Participants will be required to respect social distancing guidelines.
Bottled water will be distributed at the beginning and the end of the race only. Water will not be given to runners during the race. Post-race snacks will be pre-packaged foods (or naturally packaged, like bananas) handed out by gloved and masked volunteers.
A portable toilet will be available for runners to use as needed. Disinfecting wipes and hand sanitizer will be made available for their use as well.
Medals will not be distributed during a group presentation but will be handed out one at a time from the tables previously used for registration. Volunteers will wear gloves and masks to distribute the medals.
