Join us on September 28, 2019 for the Strides Against Violence 5K. This run benefits Chetna, Dallas Iranian Women's Association, Families to Freedom, Hope's Door New Beginning Center, Texas Muslim Women's Foundation, and Turning Paiges. Let's bring awareness to intimate partner, family and sexual violence!

Intimate Partner Violence FACTS

1 in 4 women are affected by intimate partner abuse in their life time; 1 in 3 in North Texas

1 in 5 women are affected by sexual violence

1 in 7 men are affected by intimate partner violence

1 in 20 men are affected by sexual violence

LGBTQ reported levels of intimate partner violence is equal to or higher than those of heterosexuals.

In the time it takes to run 40 minutes, 20 individuals are sexually assaulted in the US.

The annual cost of intimate partner violence in the US exceeds $12.6 billion a year or $4 per person.

The average cost of being a rape victim is estimated at $110,000.

DART: Use Red Line to Galatyn Park Station.
Auto: Travel to intersection of 75 (Central Expressway) and Campbell Road. Go north on 75 frontage road. Make right onto Lookout Dr. After passing Plaza Blvd and Performance Dr. (about 800 ft) turn right into parking area. Parking garage will be on your right.
