21st Annual Sachse High School Turkey Trot

The Sachse High School Turkey Trot is always an event for our town and we look forward to gathering once again on Thanksgiving morning!
Proceeds support Sachse High School Class of 2025.
The Turkey Trot race consists of a 1 mile Fun Run and 5K Walk/Run. 5K certified by Compton Time and Measure
Awards will be given for the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishers from each age and gender in the 5K.

Awards & Results
Race results will be online at timeandmeasure.com
Medals will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place male and female runners of each category in the 5K only.
Award Categories: MALE and FEMALE
12 & under, 13-15, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 and up.
5K Golden Gobbler Award - oldest runner
5K First Place Overall Male
5K First Place Overall Female
The Sachse High School Turkey Trot will be timed using a disposable Bib-Tag timing system.
To be included in the results and eligible for an award, you must wear the timing tag.
Your time begins when you cross the start mat, and ends when you cross the finish mat.

Q: How do I register for the SHS Turkey Trot?
A: Online registration is available at any time.
Q: Can I get a refund?
A: Due to the nature of the event and advanced ordering of supplies, no refunds will be issued for any reason. You may cancel your registrations, but no credit will be applied. Your registration fees go toward supporting the Sachse High School Class of 2025.
Q: Where do I pick up my packet?
A: Saturday, November 23, 2024 at the Lady Mustangs Craft Fair which is held in the cafeteria.
Q: Can someone else pick up my packet?
A: Yes. The person picking up the packet(s) will need the participant’s name.
Q: Is there an extra fee to register?
A: Yes, a nominal processing fee will be charged for each registration.
Q: What time should I arrive at the SHS Turkey Trot?
A: Participants should plan to allow plenty of time to get to the race start. We recommend arriving at Sachse High School at least 30 minutes before your selected start time to enter the corral or staging area when it is opened to you.
Q: Where do I park when I get to the Turkey Trot?
A: Parking is available at Sewell Elementary School, Hudson Middle School as well as the student lots at Sachse High School
Q: Is there a place I can leave my jacket, bag, etc.?
A: Due to the size of the event, a gear check is NOT AVAILABLE to general event attendees. Trot participants are encouraged to keep their gear with them at all times.
Q: Will there be restrooms available?
A: Yes, restrooms will be located inside the school by the main entrance.
Q: What if it rains or snows? Will you still have the Turkey Trot?
A: No matter the weather, The Trot will go on! We recommend dressing in layers so you can be comfortable all morning.
Q: Do you need to be timed to receive an award?
A: Yes, only runners with a timed bib are eligible to receive age group and overall prizes/awards.
Q: What happens to the funds raised from the Sachse High School Turkey Trot?
A: Funds support the Sachse High School senior class and their senior events.
