2019 Skate-A-Thon

Car-Vel Skating Rink in Leon Valley is hosting a Gold Out Skate Weekend with a portion of your admission ($4) going to Gabriella’s Smile Foundation to continue helping pediatric brain cancer families in San Antonio.

Prize will be awarded each day for the best dressed person based on the crowd favorite. 

Friday night (9/27) from 7 PM-10 PM is Friday Night at the Movies- Dress up as your favorite movie character

Saturday (9/28) from 2 PM-10 PM is Saturday Night Fever- Wear your favorite 70's outfit

Sunday (9/29) from 2 PM-6 PM is Back to the Future- Wear your favorite 80's outfit

A Skate-A-Thon will take place on Sunday, September 23 from 3:00 PM- 4:00 PM. Incentive prizes will be given to each person that raises $150 or more. 

Raise $150 or more: Get a GSF Tumbler

Raise $250 or more- Get a GSF Backpack

Raise $500 or more and enter for a chance to win tickets to watch the Spurs this October! 

We are asking all skaters wishing to participate to start collecting donations
from now through September 28. Pledge forms/ envelopes will be available at Car-Vel Skate Center (see manager for pick up). You can also create an online pledge form and have sponsors donate to your fundraising page. Pages default amount is set to $100 but you can raise more to qualify for prizes.

Participants may also bring checks and cash along with the pledge form and monies collected to the Skate-A-Thon on September 23. Checks should be made out to Gabriella’s Smile Foundation. Each person/sponsor making a pledge should write their own name, phone number, pledge per minute (60 min) or base pledge. On skate-a-thon day, each participant will be able to skate between 3:00 PM- 4:00 PM.
