Sibling rivalry is something that everyone with a brother or sister is familiar with. My younger brother and I definitely know a thing or two about it. Together, we decided to put our competitive efforts toward a cause that we both personally believe in. My name is Miguel Martinez and my brother, Matthew Skinner, and I created Beard vs. Beans; a fundraising event which benefits The Alzheimer’s Association. I hate beans. Matthew has a beard. Last year, my brother and I challenged each other to see who could raise the most money for the Alzheimer’s Association. If Matthew won, I had to eat a bowl of beans. If I won, Matthew had to shave his beard. The event ended with a barber and some clippers. In our continued efforts to help ENDALZ we bring you The Longest Day 5k/10k with Beard vs Beans.
The 10k/5k will begin at Comanche park and will have medals for all the finishers, amazing shirt and a great time with our sponsors. All profits will benefit the Alzheimer Association.
