🕯️ For Whom Do You Run Wall - Write your loved one’s name and add it to the community remembrance wall at the start line.
📸 Photo Bib Tribute - Use the space on your race bib to add a photo of your loved one and write their name. Carry their memory every step of the way.
💐 Community Altar at La Gloria Pearl - After the race, place your photo or calaverita at the altar. It will remain on display through Día de los Muertos weekend.
✍️ Calaverita Writing Instructions - Included in every packet bag — learn to write your own playful tribute poem and add it to the altar.
🎶 Music at Every Mile - Hear uplifting tracks inspired by remembrance and joy as you pass each marker.

Is the event timed?
Yes, the 5K is a chip-timed race.
Can I walk the 5K instead of running?
Yes, 5k registrants are welcome to walk. Please line up behind runners at the start line.
Is there a Kids’ Walk?
Yes! Families are encouraged to join the 1-mile Family Walk at 7:00 PM.
Do I need to purchase a registration for my child in a stroller for the Family Walk?
No, children 4 years old and under do not require their own registration.
Can I pick up my materials on the day of the race?
Yes! Packet pick up will be available on Saturday, Oct. 24 starting at 5:30 pm.
Can I wear a costume?
Absolutely — we encourage it! Show your Día de los Muertos spirit in your best Catrina or Catrín look.
Why are strollers and dogs not allowed on the 5K course?
For safety, strollers and dogs aren't allowed on the 5K course. The River Walk sidewalks are narrow and includes a flight of stairs.
What if it rains?
The race goes on rain or shine. Please plan accordingly.
Where do I park?
Paid parking is available at Pearl lots and garages, metered street parking, and nearby public lots.
Are refunds available?
Registrations are non-refundable but transferable.
I purchased a family 4-pack for the 1-mile walk. Will each individual in the family receive a giveaway?
No, a family 4-pack will receive two giveaways total (one armband and one water bottle).
