Is the event timed?
Yes, the 5K is a chip-timed race.
Can I walk the 5K instead of running?
Yes, walkers are welcome. Please line up behind runners at the start line.
Is there a Kids’ Walk?
Yes! Families are encouraged to join the 1-mile Family Walk at 7:30 PM.
Can I wear a costume?
Absolutely — we encourage it! Show your Día de los Muertos spirit in your best Catrina or Catrín look.
Why are strollers and dogs not allowed on the 5K course?
For safety, strollers and dogs aren't allowed on the 5K course. The River Walk sidewalks are narrow and includes a flight of stairs.
What if it rains?
The race goes on rain or shine. Please plan accordingly.
Where do I park?
Paid parking is available at Pearl lots and garages, metered street parking, and nearby public lots.
Are refunds available?
Registrations are non-refundable but transferable.
