MLK 5K 2026

Martin Luther King Jr. once said, “If you can't fly then run, if you can't run then walk, if you can't walk then crawl, but whatever you do you have to keep moving forward.” The Young Men’s Leadership Academy 5K Run is a fundraising event presented by the school to help raise funds for the academy, as well as a demonstration of their support for Martin Luther King Jr.’s message of resilience and equality. Young Men’s Leadership Academy is the first all-boys public school in San Antonio. Our mission is to develop young men into highly effective scholars, thinkers, and leaders by providing a high-quality comprehensive educational and social experience leading to a distinguished high school graduation plan. 100% of proceeds from our event fund student programming.  

We are back and excited to see all of you at the starting line this year!  As always we look forward to seeing your photos, videos and of course, those incredible times that you post!!

$10 registration through December 12th, 2025;

Registration increases to $15 on December 13th, 2025

Day of Registration will be $20, so save yourself some time and money, register today.

Packet Pickup will be at:

Young Men's Leadership Academy

415 Gabriel St. SATX 78202.  (in the back of the school where the Tennis Courts and Back Parking lot are located, opposite side of the apartments) 

FRIDAY, January 16th from 4pm - 6pm

SATURDAY, January 17th  from 9am - 11am

If you do not pick up on Friday/Saturday, you may pick up Sunday Jan. 18th before the race.  To make the line move efficiently have your BIB Number ready.  If you do not know your Bib Number, you can go to the Race Website and click "find Participant" this will pull up your name and the BIB Number will be the first column.
