Description
This year’s Pedal in the Park will be hosted as a virtual challenge raising funds to maintain and repair the San Antonio Bike Share docking stations located on the Mission Reach. This year's virtual event is a 17-mile guided ride along the San Antonio River led by a UC Places audio tour. Not only will your registration fee of $23 help maintain the B Cycle system, but you’ll also learn about the city's largest ecological restoration zone, the San Antonio River, and how it played an important role in the development of the San Antonio Missions, a World Heritage Site.
Pedal in the Park Challenge is open to all bicycles between October 11, 2020, and November 11, 2020. Don’t have a bicycle? Your registration fee will include a one-month B Cycle membership. Once you register, you’ll be able to log your trips and times so you can complete the “course” at your leisure.
Thank you to our participating partners creating this audio bicycle tour: Cycling San Antonio, San Antonio River Foundation, and UC Places
Registered participants may begin their bike ride on October 11, 2020 and complete the challenge by November 11, 2020.

BONUS RIDE
If you register for the challenge by Sunday, October 18 your name will be entered into a drawing to join an in-person Pedal in the Park bicycle tour. This tour will be hosted Halloween morning by Professional Tour Guide, Bill Simons ($50 value). To ensure the safety of those on this tour and respect for others using the Mission Trail, ONLY 10 names will be chosen to join the ride. We will enter your name into a drawing and pick the winners live on our Instagram page (@SABikeShare), Wednesday, October 21st. If you do not confirm we will offer your spot to a runner up.
Safety Tips:
This Bike Ride is not a race. All riders must follow the rules of the trail and all regulations as defined in the Texas vehicle code. Participants must follow all instructions of the law enforcement and/or fire officials, public safety vehicles always have the right of way. Riders are encouraged to wear bike helmets on the course. We strongly suggest bringing at least two water bottles.
Things to consider when touring the Missions:
