2020 SABF Fun Run for Justice - Virtual Challenge

Join the SABF Fun Run for Justice virtual challenge.  Through October 31, walk/run across San Antonio from the Bexar County Courthouse, virtual style.  Log your miles throughout the month for prizes and bragging rights. 

Individual runners, families and teams walk/run the actual course or the equivalent from your own neighborhood. Challenges for every age and fitness level. All participants receive a medal, prizes awarded for most miles and more!

NO physical gathering will take place at the Courthouse.  Log your miles during the month of October.  Miles are accumulated throughout the month.  All participants receive a fancy medal!

VIRTUAL COURSE CHALLENGES

Complete one or all challenges between October 1-31 and earn bragging rights and prizes.  

Judge in Training Kids Challenge 1 mile ~15-30 min walk.

Perfect for those ages 8 and under. It is a 1-mile course from the Bexar County Courthouse to the Alamo – walk the actual course or walk the equivalent in your own neighborhood, treadmill or favorite walking trail. 

The Bar Challenge 3.5 miles ~ 1 hr walk    

It is a 3.5-mile course from the Bexar County Courthouse to the Pearl Brewery - walk the actual course or walk the equivalent in your own neighborhood, treadmill or favorite walking trail.  Challenge yourself to walk/run this every day in October!

The Liberty Challenge 6 miles ~ 2 hr walk     

It is a 6-mile course from the Bexar County Courthouse to the San Antonio Zoo -  walk the actual course or walk the equivalent in your own neighborhood, treadmill or favorite walking trail. A fun challenge for a family, firm or team. 

The Chief Justice Challenge 15 miles ~ 6 hr walk   

Show off your stamina! It is a 15-mile course down the length of the San Antonio Riverwalk - walk the actual course or walk the equivalent in your own neighborhood, treadmill or favorite walking trail. A fun challenge for a family, firm or team or split over two days or two weekends.

• Individual Adult (includes 1 medal)– $25

• Individual Kid (includes 1 medal) – $15

• Family challenge (includes up to 6 medals) - $90/ family of 6 (up to 2 adults and up to 4 kids) Discount automatically applied at checkout.

• Team (includes up to 4 medals) - $90 /up to 4 adults - Discount automatically applied at checkout.

PRIZES

Finisher Medals will be mailed to all registrants after October 31st.  Prizewinners announced Monday, November 2.

Individual prizes are a $25 e-gift card to Amazon or a local restaurant from the list below. 

Team and Family prizes are a $50 e-gift card to a local restaurant from the list below. 

Category 1 - Fastest reported time for completing each challenge. 

      Judge in Training Challenge – 1 winner from each group - 1 kid under 8, 1 kid age 9-12 

      The Bar Challenge – 1 winner from each group - fastest adult (1 male & 1 female) and fastest kid under 12

      Liberty Challenge – 1 winner from each group - fastest adult (1 male & 1 female), fastest kid under 12, fastest family and fastest team

      Chief Justice Challenge – 1 winner from each - fastest adult (1 male & 1 female), fastest kid under 12, fastest family and fastest team

Category 2 – Social Media superstar – for posts about one of the virtual challenges using #SABFrun2020 that gets the most likes. (1 winner)

Category 3 – Staff favorite – most creative social media post about the virtual run (please don’t do anything dangerous). (1 winner)

Category 4 - Complete all three challenges to be entered into a drawing for a gift card. (1 winner) 

Category 5 - Once you receive your finishers medal, get on social media and show it off by November 15th to be entered to win an e-gift card. (1 winner)
