Description

Registration is now open for the San Antonio RoadRunners award-winning Walk 2 Run 5K Beginner Training. This is an excellent program for beginner runners, walkers, and those returning to running after time off. Team will meet 2x/week for group training that fosters physical fitness, healthy habits, and running knowledge all in a FUN and ENCOURAGING environment.

We have a place for every pace!
Dates: Feb 25 - Apr 22, 2023.
Weekly Group Runs on Tuesday evenings & Saturday mornings.
Kickoff: Saturday, Feb 25th at 11AM at La Cantera Heights Trailhead, 17346 La Cantera Pkwy, San Antonio, TX 78256

Goal Race: focused on preparing for the SARR Mission 5K on Sunday, April 23rd.

Program: designed for those who have a goal to run or run/walk a 5K (3.1 miles) by graduation.
Led by by SARR RRCA certified coaches.
Flexible weekly workout schedule.
Weekly coaches' email and optional Facebook group for sharing information and team photos.
Training Team shirt included.

Register Early: program is capped at 100.
Training is for SARR Members; join SARR during signup if not a member.

Current Covid-19 guidelines allow for us to meet in small groups with proper social distancing. Should guidelines or restrictions change before or during our training season we will modify our in-person sessions accordingly.
