Please note this important race update:
Our Spring Thing 5K, originally scheduled for Saturday, May 1, will now take place on Sunday, May 2, same place (San Antonio State Hospital, 5900 S. Presa San Antonio, 78223) and time (8 am). We are expecting a huge downpour of rain starting tonight, Friday, and leading into Saturday afternoon. There is no rain expected for Sunday, so we hope to see you here for a fun time!
We’ve worked really hard to put this event on for the local community. There are two things beyond our control, a pandemic AND weather. Our race has been struck with both of these in the past year and we have had to make the necessary decisions to accommodate.
Thank you for understanding. If you have any questions, please Email race director at Jessica.Ruiz@hhs.texas.gov.
The Spring Thing 5K Run/Walk will take place on Sunday, May 2 @ 8:00am, 2021! Walk/run this 5K in support of mental health!
We are very excited to welcome you to the San Antonio State Hospital safely. Please wear a mask upon entry to the campus, you will be subject to a temperature check, and keep social distancing during the event. Whether you are running, or walking, we have a beautiful course planned: you'll get to see views of the Tower of the Americas, green scenery, and a sneak peek at the construction of our new brand new hospital. Bring a friend, and see you!
Thursday, April 29, from 4 to 6 pm at Tandem San Antonio, 310 Riverside Dr. San Antonio, TX 78210
Can't make it to Tandem? Packet pickup will also be offered from 7:15 to 8 am at the race site on Saturday.
Awards: Top 3 male and top 3 female overall finishers!
Post Race Fuel: Tacos, coffee, pan dulce, fruit, etc!
